How we rank

This page explains how the calculator turns your inputs into a ranked shortlist, where the prices come from, and how we make money.

What the calculator does

You set five things: your task, memory (RAM), CPU cores, location and monthly budget. Each provider gets a match score from 0 to 99 based on how well it fits your request, and the list is sorted from best match to worst.

How scoring works

Each provider starts from a neutral base and gains or loses points on a few objective factors: whether it supports your task, whether it has a data center in your chosen location, whether it comfortably covers the RAM you asked for, and whether its entry price fits your budget. A small edge goes to a cheaper entry price. The list is then sorted purely by that score. There is no paid placement, and no provider is pinned to the top.

About the prices

Prices are approximate starting rates, meant only to compare providers at a glance. Where a provider lists its entry plan in rubles, we convert it to US dollars at a fixed reference rate, so any figure marked “≈” is an estimate rather than a live quote. Plans, promotions and currencies change often, so always confirm the current price and terms on the provider’s own site before you order.

Providers and badges

The catalog is a curated set of established providers. Ranking badges such as “#1 in the Hostings.info test” or “#1 by TopHosts” come from those independent sites and are shown as factual references, not as our own ranking.
